I am a native English speaker and English language teacher from Australia. I use the communicative method of teaching, in which you learn vocabulary, grammar and idioms through natural conversation, with guidance from the teacher. It is the most effective and best method for learning English at all levels (A1-C2). With this approach, you can expect to learn natural, elegant and effective English which will help you in business, education and socially. It is also the best way to learn for English proficiency exams.

I started teaching English in Japan in the year 2000 and since then I have also taught in Hong Kong, Australia and Poland. As far as education is concerned, besides qualifications in TESOL (Teaching English as a Second Language), I also have a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, a Master’s Degree in Diplomacy and a PhD in International Relations. I have also had professional English language experience (translating, interpreting and editing) in the fields of Literature and the Natural Sciences.

I am interested in international relations, psychology, philosophy, music, cultural studies, graphic art, theatre, literature and travelling.

As an aside, I also speak Japanese and Polish, which means I also have experience as a language learner. As such, I am able to empathise with students and understand their needs from the inside. This ability neatly supplements my professional skills, knowledge and know-how.
