Stuart Wadsworth

I’m a native English speaker with over 20 years’ experience teaching English to adults and young people at all levels. I’m a highly experienced teacher and have also worked as both a teacher and examiner at the British Council, giving me extensive knowledge of Cambridge and IELTS examinations and what students need to achieve strong results.

I’m particularly good at identifying and correcting the typical mistakes Polish speakers make in English. Because I speak Polish myself and have spent many years teaching Polish learners, I understand where these problems come from – whether they involve pronunciation, grammar, word order, vocabulary or direct translations from Polish. I can explain these differences clearly and show you how to sound more natural.

I’m also a published writer, so I have a strong interest in language and a particular eye for natural, precise English. This is something I bring into my lessons, especially when working on vocabulary, writing, style and fluency.

My lessons are relaxed, practical and tailored to the individual. I focus heavily on speaking and real communication, helping students move beyond simply knowing English to actually using it naturally and confidently.

I also teach Business English and help students prepare for interviews, meetings, presentations, IELTS and Cambridge exams.
