Turkish is my native, and I taught at Jagiellonian University's Studenckie Konwersacje Językowe program as a two-semester volunteer teacher. Because I am a Journalist, I have strong Turkish language skills. Even though I did not study Turkish teaching, I took a couple of pedagogical classes, and I am still taking them for my doctoral studies. My students were able to use basic Turkish after our classes. I want my students to talk more to engage more with the language. I prefer to use Ankara University's Hitit coursebook as the main teaching material. I can teach Turkish through English; however, after a couple of weeks, we only use Turkish easily.
